Les workflows : une équipe d'agents orchestrée sous vos yeuxWorkflows: a team of agents orchestrated before your eyes
In VisiDog CLI, a workflow is a step diagram that makes virtual agents work together: who does what, in which order, where the run waits for your decision — and when it stops. You draw it in a visual designer, save it, then run it again and again, always the same way. This page explains how it works and what it brings you.
Asking the AI to do a task is a conversation: the path taken depends on the exchanges. A workflow is the opposite: you first lay out the steps — one agent analyzes, two work in parallel, a condition decides, a human arbitrates — and the run follows that path, always the same one. The recipe exists before the work; the work repeats the recipe.
Each step is handed to an AI agent whose craft and prompt you choose, or to a "tool" node that performs a deterministic action — reading a file, searching the web — without calling the AI. Everything lives in a graph drawn like a map, saved in a library, and runnable with one click from the terminal.

A workflow is made of a handful of clear blocks, placed on the canvas and then connected: one block's output into the next one's input. Validation rejects inconsistent graphs — no orphans, no direct link from Start to End, a single entry point.
Diagram 1 — The blocks: each node does one clear thing; you connect them to compose the path.
Two blocks deserve a closer look. The "Human" node suspends the run: an "Approve / Reject" card appears in the terminal, with a note field, and the other branches keep living while you wait. Where most systems freeze everything, VisiDog keeps parallel flows active — only the nodes downstream of the decision wait.
The "tool" node, meanwhile, calls no AI at all: it runs one precise system operation (read a file, write, list a folder, grep, search the web…) and injects its result into the workflow's variables. Deterministic, therefore reproducible — and free in tokens, since no model is invoked.
À quoi ressemble un workflowWhat a workflow looks like
Here is a classic skeleton: one agent frames the task, a developer and a tester work in parallel, a condition decides whether another round is needed, and your sign-off closes the graph. The fix loop goes back — but always capped: a loop never spins without a guard.
Schéma 2 — Un workflow exemple : cadrage, parallélisme, boucle de correction plafonnée, arbitrage humain, fin.Diagram 2 — A sample workflow: framing, parallelism, a capped fix loop, human sign-off, end.
Each agent embodies a craft. The "Agent" node delegates to an AI whose role and prompt are configured once and for all: at every launch, the same craft works for you.
Parallelism is explicit. The developer and the tester move at the same time; the common thread only resumes once both branches are done.
The fix loop is capped. If tests fail, the flow goes back to the developer — but within a maximum number of rounds you set: no endless spiral.
You arbitrate before the end. The "Human approval" node pauses the run: the "Approve / Reject" card shows up in the terminal, with your note if needed.
L'atelier : dessiner au lieu d'écrireThe designer: drawing instead of writing
You don't code a workflow: you draw it in a full-screen visual designer. The whole surface stays bilingual, like the rest of the product, and a starting team of five crafts greets you on open — business analyst, fullstack developer, QA tester, security reviewer and technical writer — all of them adjustable, duplicable or replaceable.
In concrete terms: the palette on the left holds the blocks and the agent list; each block drops in with a click or a drag, connects through its ports, and gets configured in a side inspector (role, maximum turns, loop caps, timeouts, conditions, tool operations). While you build, a live badge spells out what still blocks the save. Undo, redo, duplication, zoom, automatic layout — every classic reflex works.
A real-time diagnostic flags cycles, orphan nodes and forbidden transitions; saving stays blocked as long as a blocking error remains. Workflows then live in a library — list, duplication, JSON export, deletion — next to the agent library, where the crafts are managed: prompts, allowed tools, limits.
The launch starts from the designer, with its "Run execution" button — or from the /workflow run command in the terminal. Then, the run tells its own story in the chat:
Schéma 3 — Le déroulement d'un run : lancement, exécution visible, décisions humaines, traçabilité complète.Diagram 3 — How a run unfolds: launch, visible execution, human decisions, full traceability.
During the run, the designer switches to read-only: the definition being executed can neither be edited nor deleted. At the end, the log keeps every event — start, steps, human wait, decision, finish — and summarizes each output: the artifacts produced (changed files, with a fingerprint) as well as the decisions made. You rerun the same workflow as is, or adjust it and go again.
L'utiliser dans VisiDogUsing it in VisiDog
1
Ouvrez l'atelierOpen the designer
In the terminal, a dedicated button opens the full-screen designer — the /workflow designer command does the same. If your plan's "workflows" option is not active, neither the button nor the command appears: the feature stays silent.
2
Composez, enregistrezCompose, save
Drop the blocks, connect them, tune each node in the inspector, hit Save. The library then lists your workflows: duplicate them, export them as JSON; the other command, /workflow list, takes inventory.
3
Lancez, suivez, arbitrezRun, follow, arbitrate
/workflow run starts the run; watch nodes light up, filter the streams, answer the approval cards. /workflow stop interrupts a running workflow at any time. At the end, the log stays available and a rerun costs one click.
Cas d'usageUse cases
Frame, develop and test in parallel, loop back on fixes, let a condition decide, then get approval. The same skeleton serves every feature; only the framing prompt changes.
A QA tester, an OWASP security reviewer and a technical proofreader each work on the same deliverable in parallel, then the human arbitrates before publishing or committing anything.
L'exécution qui vous attendThe run that waits for you
A data migration, a push to production, a sensitive commit: the flow reaches the right moment, pauses while you take it in, and only executes once you have approved.
The onboarding procedure, the release checklist, the status report — drawn once, shared through the library, rerun by everyone the same way. Know-how becomes a diagram.
The path becomes visible: a diagram the team can discuss and improve — not a fleeting series of exchanges.
True parallelism: "fork / join" branches run simultaneously, without you juggling the back-and-forth.
You stay in charge: loop caps, per-agent turn limits, human approvals — the guardrails live in the graph.
Token-efficient: "tool" nodes handle the repetitive grunt work without calling the AI — at no cost.
Resilient: an emergency stop exists, a page reload never loses a running run, and past runs resume where they were.

Workflows are an Enterprise plan feature. If it has not been granted to your organization, the button, the /workflow command and any trace of the mode stay hidden: no leftovers of an inactive state.
Le run verrouille l'atelierA run locks the designer
While executing, the designer goes read-only and its definition in the library is protected against edits and deletion. It is deliberate: the running graph must remain the graph that runs.
Every backward loop must carry a maximum number of rounds, and every agent a turn limit; otherwise graph validation refuses to save. The same applies to a direct Start → End link, which is forbidden: the graph must do at least one useful thing.
A vague agent produces vague outputs. Take the time to edit the prompts of the agents your graph calls upon — the agent library also lets you jump back, in one click, to each craft's reference prompt.
